MINISTRY FOCUS AREAS

SCHOOL OF LEADERSHIP - YEAR 1 & YEAR 2

As a first year intern, you will participate in a range of three focus areas: Children's, Youth and Media Ministry, allowing you to have a hands on, generalized ministry experience, to get a feel for what full-time ministry life and participation feels like. Below is an overview of what those focus areas will look like.  

Additionally, interns who have completed the "YEAR 1" internship are invited to make a "YEAR 2" commitment where they will have the opportunity to focus their ministry development primarily in an area that matches their natural gifting and interests.

Children's Ministry

Track Objectives

Children's ministry is incredibly important. It takes hard work and patience.
Work with children ages 0 - 5th grade loving, teaching, and spiritually equipping them for life and godliness.
Here are some of the ways that you'll do that:

Public Speaking

Early Childhood curriculum
planning and delivery

Event & activity coordination

Administrative assistance

Relational experience with children 0-5th grade and families.

Social media marketing and networking.

Interpersonal communication

Youth Ministry

Track Objectives

Youth ministry is about working with kids who are becoming adults. It's an incredibly important
transitional time. These young people need loving-adults who will help them become the men and women God has called them to be.
Here are some of the ways that you'll do that:

Public Speaking

Middle School & Highschool
curriculum planning and delivery

Event & activity coordination

Administrative assistance

Relational experience with students
in grades 6-12 and families.

Social media marketing and networking.

Interpersonal communication

Media Ministry

Track Objectives

There has never been a more crucial time than now for the church to connect with people through the technological advancements
that we've seen over the last few decades. We need young leaders with a passion for production and media to carry this mandate.
Here are some of the ways that:

Live stream production and experience.

Video directing, editing and production.

Digital art creation and design.

Audio production, mixing and engineering.

Photography.

Social Media Marketing.

Web and App Design

General Objectives

In addition to track objectives, all interns will also participate in the following general objectives.

Professionalism in an office style work environment

Weekly Theological Training

Weekly leadership and character development training

1 on 1 personal mentorship

12 logged hours each week performing ministry tasks

Participation in a team-centered work environment

Leadership conference training

Assistance with daily ministry activities
as requested by the Pastoral staff of Victory Church.

PRE-REQUISITES

All applicants will be required to meet the following requirements
in order to participate in Victory's School of Leadership.

Reliable transportation

A one-year commitment

12 hrs a week devoted to performing tasks and receiving hands-on ministry training during church office hours and regularly scheduled services.

Participation in weekly leadership and theological training.

$200 participation pre-requisite (Used toward leadership training and development tools
such as: curriculum, conference attendance, and work-related necessities.)

A passed background check, screening and interview approval.
